We started ESK Capital to buy one business and run it for the long haul, not restructure it, strip it for parts, or flip it in a few years. We move fast, decide independently, and take full ownership of what happens after the close. There's no exit clock running in the background.
One person makes every decision, backed by twenty years of professional experience launching and operating businesses, and leading the teams behind them.
A strong financial position with capital available today, keeping the path from offer to close short and certain. No lengthy capital raise, no waiting on external approvals, just a direct route to closing.
We will acquire and operate one business for the long term, with no exit built in. That's the same approach our founder's family has taken running businesses for over 80 years, with stability for the business and the people who work there.
I'm based in Austin, Texas, raising a son and a daughter. When I'm not working, I'm usually outside, cycling (road or mountain) or staying active outdoors in some other way. I'm also fluent in Spanish. I work the way I live: thorough, hands-on, and willing to dig into whatever a problem actually requires, whether that's a spreadsheet or under the kitchen sink. I have a mechanical engineering degree and an MBA, which mostly just means I've had a lot of practice thinking carefully about how to make things better.
I launched new business lines, scaling one to $60M in annual recurring revenue within 18 months, while also operating established, large-scale products, where I owned pricing decisions and shaped how they reached the market. I built the tools and processes that let more than 3,000 employees sell effectively and manage client relationships at scale. Over ten years, I grew the go-to-market function from 4 people to more than 120, building and leading 5 different teams along the way.
I identified new business opportunities across the telecommunications and energy industries, worth over $75M in revenue, through in-depth market research and financial modeling. I developed the go-to-market plan to launch a new-to-the-world automation system projected to generate $50M in three years, and I designed and built a customer loyalty program expected to grow product sales by 15% through competitive analysis and voice-of-customer research.
I developed custom software applications for clients like NASA, GE, and Boeing. I built a cloud-based automation system that cut software testing time by 99%, and later introduced agile methodologies across my team that reduced development time by 20% while improving product quality by 18%.
This acquisition is how I'll be supporting myself and building a legacy for my kids, not a side project or a stepping stone. Guided by my family's 80-year history running businesses, I plan to run this one the same way: honoring what the previous owner built, with stability and continuity for the business and the people who work there.
